1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using QuickMonster ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.
2. Description of Service
QuickMonster is an AI-powered tool that generates custom monsters for Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition (D&D 5e) tabletop role-playing games. The Service includes:
- AI-generated monster stat blocks based on user prompts
- AI-generated monster artwork
- Campaign and encounter organization tools
- A public bestiary of user-shared monsters
3. Account Registration
To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- Maintain the security of your password
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
4. User Content
4.1 Your Content
You retain ownership of the prompts, descriptions, and other content you submit to the Service ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
4.2 AI-Generated Content
Content generated by our AI systems (monster stat blocks, images, descriptions) based on your prompts is provided for your personal use in tabletop gaming. You may:
- Use generated content in your personal D&D games
- Share generated content with your gaming group
- Make generated content public through our bestiary feature
You may not:
- Sell AI-generated content as your own original work
- Use generated content to train other AI models
- Claim sole copyright over purely AI-generated output
4.3 Public Content
When you make content public, other users may view and use it for their own games. You can change content visibility at any time in your settings.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Generate content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
- Generate content that infringes on intellectual property rights
- Attempt to circumvent AI safety measures or content filters
- Use automated systems to access the Service (bots, scrapers) without permission
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Collect user information without consent
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Our Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by QuickMonster and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the Service.
6.2 Third-Party Trademarks
Dungeons & Dragons, D&D, and related trademarks are property of Wizards of the Coast LLC. QuickMonster is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Wizards of the Coast. This is a fan-made tool for personal use.
6.3 Open Gaming Content
Monster mechanics (ability scores, actions, etc.) are generated following the System Reference Document (SRD) under the Open Gaming License. Specific Wizards of the Coast content not in the SRD is not reproduced.
7. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
Content generated by AI systems may:
- Contain errors, inconsistencies, or game balance issues
- Require review and adjustment by the user
- Not perfectly match official D&D content style or rules
We provide AI-generated content "as-is" without warranty of accuracy or fitness for any particular purpose. Users are responsible for reviewing and adapting content for their games.
8. Service Availability
We strive to maintain Service availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may:
- Temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance
- Modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice
- Limit usage to prevent abuse
9. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through your profile settings.
Upon termination:
- Your access to the Service will cease
- Your content may be deleted (you can export your data before deletion)
- Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- The Service is provided "as-is" without warranties of any kind
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the past 12 months
This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory under which liability is asserted.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless QuickMonster from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and the applicable member state. For users in the EU, nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
13. Dispute Resolution
We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any disputes. If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, you agree to attempt mediation before pursuing legal action.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by:
- Posting the new Terms on this page
- Updating the "Last updated" date
- Sending an email notification for material changes
Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
