Wand of Inferno
A slender ash-black wand carved from obsidian and wrapped with copper-inlaid sigils that glow with ember-orange motes. Its tip is crowned with a pulsating ruby-like core that smolders faintly, always warm to the touch. The sigils depict flames dancing around a central torch, and when you flick it, wisps of heat escape as if the wand itself breathes fire.
Lore
The Wand of Inferno was forged in the forge-temples of the Emberspire volcano, tempered by a phoenixโs breath and bound to a pyromancer of legendary prowess. It passed through the hands of several dragon-scarred wizards who sought to bend the battlefield to their will, until a pitched duel ended with the wand sealing itself to a worthy wielder who could command both its restraint and its rage. Tales tell of cities saved by a single cast of Fireball from this wand at a crucial moment, and of armies reduced to ash when the Nova was unleashed at the height of a siege.
History
Crafted in a volcanic cavern, the wand absorbed the heat and fury of a legendary fire elemental during its forging. It subsequently changed hands from a fire-sorcerer king to a guild of arson-wizards who used it to shape volcanic battles, then vanished for decades before resurfacing with a new keeper who learned to balance its power with discipline. The current bearer is rumored to be a war-mage who survived a catastrophic firestorm you never expected to endure.
