Cloak of Submerged Veil
The cloak is a hooded wrap of midnight-black silk woven with sea-bloom fibers. The outer surface shimmers with a dark blue sheen like a moonlit sea, while the inside glows with a pale, shifting azure mist that seems to be in constant motion just beneath the fabric. The edges are trimmed with saline thread that cools the skin to the touch. A clasp of seashells and starfish motifs anchors the cloak; when worn, a faint, briny scent clings to the air.
Lore
Forged by the Drowned Emissary of the Depth, the Cloak of Submerged Veil was created to grant escape to those who would vanish beneath the waves. Legends say it was woven from a thread of moonlight and water, blessed by a water-dwelling archfey who sought to hide secrets in the mist.
History
First worn by a corsair who fled a kraken's clutches, the cloak allowed him to slip into the mist and vanish from sight. The cloak later appeared in the possession of a sea hag who used it to spy from the surface, then vanished into the reef for decades before resurfacing in a sunken temple, where it was re-claimed by current owners.
