Lore & Description
Appearance
A corpse stitched to its own shadow, the seam running along the chest and spine like a living wound. The shadow trails behind, a dark, sinuous tether that drags across the ground as if someoneโsomethingโpulls a second, blackened sinew of night. The stitched corpse wears rotted robes and a hollow skull whose eyes glint with a dull candlelight. When it moves, the shadow moves with it, as though two beings share a single will.
Behavior & Origins
Born from a necromancer's failed attempt to fuse death with darkness, the Shadowstitch Carcass is bound to the very shadow that refused to die. It hunts along borders of light and shadow, feeding on the fear of those who glimpse its tether and feel the chill of full midnight in its wake. Legends say the stitching grows tighter the longer it roams, until the two half-forms share a singular heartbeat.
