Lore & Description
Appearance
A lank, shadow-wrapped demon with a body that seems to bleed ink when it moves. Its form is a shifting silhouette—elongated limbs, smoky edges, and ember-red eyes that flicker only when unobserved. Its presence feels like a whispered threat, a chill that follows you as long as you can’t see it clearly. When someone looks directly at it, the Veiled Stalker seems to melt into the shadows, becoming almost intangible, a rumor you could only glimpse out of the corner of your eye.
Behavior & Origins
The Veiled Stalker is a demon bound to the cruel paradox of motion and gaze. Born from a pact of predators who fed on attention itself, it can only relocate when undetected. To hunters, it is a riddle—every time they lay eyes on it, it ceases to move, freezing in place as if winded by the weight of their gaze. Those who learn to move with the demon, by intentionally breaking line of sight or using distractions to hide from view, can lure it into ambushes and trap it in places where its unseen movement becomes a deadly advantage. Its presence in ruins and caves is often preceded by a cold whisper and the sense that something unseen is watching your back.
