Lore & Description
Appearance
A gaunt, pallid corpse encrusted in glittering frost stands upright in a wind-scoured ice field. Its skin is a brittle blue-white, like icicles under moonlight, and its eyes glow with a dim, frigid blue. Jagged shards of ice protrude along its spine and shoulders, and every movement leaves a glittering mist of frost in its wake. When it breathes, a cold fog swirls around the ground, and the air itself feels biting to the lungs.
Behavior & Origins
The Icebound Wretch is the risen remnant of a survivor who perished in a blizzard while defending a forsaken outpost. Reanimated by a cruel, ancient magic that binds souls to ice, they wander frozen plains, seeking warmth and life to extinguish. In combat they chill the air, sapping warmth from foes and turning the battlefield into a treacherous glaze of slick ice and biting wind. They are relentless, moving with a colder purpose, as if the frost itself commands them.
