Lore & Description
Appearance
A gaunt, half-living figure draped in tattered apprentice robes. Patchwork flesh snakes along its arms, with necrotic energy thrumming through torn seams of skin. Its eyes flash with fevered intelligence, then glaze with delirium as a random shard of madness erupts from its mind. A faint, icy shimmer licks the air around its exposed ribs and hands, and the syllables of long-forgotten spells spill from its lips in rapid, jumbled bursts.
Behavior & Origins
In life, it was a fervent apprentice to a lich who believed mortality could be curated and controlled. The master taught the art of binding life to death, but the experiment went catastrophically awry. The apprentice survived the ritual, though the bargain left him half-undead and forever unstable. Now he skitters between moments of startling clarity and wild, necrotic bursts, seeking to outwit his former mentor and perhaps seize a remnant of the masterโs power for himself.
