Lore & Description
Appearance
A hulking, shifting mass of velvet-black flesh threaded with glittering star-sparks. Its body contains twinkling constellations that shift and rearrange as it moves. Where a being bleeds, small droplets of star-forged plasma fall away, each one burning with a pinprick of distant suns. Its eyes are empty blackholes that reflect galaxies; it drifts and glides without walking, leaving a faint meteor-like glow in its wake. When angered, it expands and contracts as if the void itself breathes, and its wounds bleed tiny stars that reassemble into new shapes as they hit the ground.
Behavior & Origins
Born from a collapsed remnant of a long-dead star, the Starbleed slipped through a rift into the Material Plane. It seeks sources of light—cities, rituals, and bright minds—for the way stars brighten the cosmos is the way it feeds. It does not hunger for flesh so much as for belief and awe; the more a world fears it, the more it bleeds stars into existence, feeding the night with impossible brightness. It rarely speaks, but when it does, its voice is a whisper like the hush between star births—enchanting and utterly alien.
