Appearance

Shardtooth Pixies are diminutive fey with iridescent emerald-green skin and flecks of metallic dust in their hair. They have sharp, steel-like teeth that gleam when they feed on metal. They flit with a feral, predatory grace, leaving behind little shavings of iron and tin wherever they hunt. They inhabit forest clearings and ruins where scraps and metal remnants collect, chattering in high-pitched tinny laughter as they lure prey with tinkling chimes and misdirection, then strike with swift, precise bites.

Behavior & Origins

Born in the hidden forges of the Feywild, shardtooth pixies survive by scavenging metal and sharpening their metallic fangs on scrap. They delight in the scent of heated metal and the sound of metal scraping, often stripping armor from intruders and fleeing into the trees before help can arrive. They prefer ambushes, using hit-and-run tactics to wear down larger foes, then vanish back into the glittering undergrowth.
